Italian Beefsteak  NEW
Bright red, medium size beefsteaks have great acidity and give this variety a good tomato taste. Plants produced well here in Tennessee and gave us a very nice crop. Seed comes from Bari, Italy.

Dolly Parton    NEW
Good Golly, Miss Dolly!  I received a few seeds of this variety to try last spring and tried it because of the cute name.  Dolly is a really wonderful, juicy, red globe with very fine flavor.  And perhaps, as the name implies, they seem to be picture perfect fruits with no blemishes or splitting.  More "assets" include excellent production at the end of our summer here, when weather conditions are not good.  Be warned, though, they are not a "large" tomato, but a very nice 8- 10 ounces.  A great main cropper or market variety to "boot"!  This is a variety very much worth growing.

Tappy's Finest   NEW
For those of you who love a great big, meaty beefsteak.  This old heirloom will make you happy.  Though size and shape will vary a bit, most will be quite large, up to two pounds.

Pomadora Rose    NEW
I am very excited to offer this gem of a tomato this year!  Pomadora was one of the best surprises of summer 2010.  Brilliant red globes at 8- 14 ounces are juicy and full of fantastic tomato flavor.  Each time I went out to view the gardens, more and more of these roses seem to come from nowhere.  Excellent variety for home and also for market, as the pretty red skins are without blemishes of any kind and they have great shelf life.  One very fine vine!

Lil's Favorite
Ordered this variety for my mom, "Sweet Lil" and was very happy with it!  8-14 oz. bright red fruits are a bit irregular with slight fluting.  Last year I was amazed with Lil's very intense rich flavor.  It was actually the best bite out of a tomato I had all season, even though it was near fall when I tasted it.  This year I couldn't do another taste comparison due to the unbelievable amount of rain we received here in Tennessee.  This variety comes from Larry Watson, in Beaver Falls Pa., who's Aunt Lil raised it for many years in Belleville Illinois.  I don't have a lot of seed, so packets will be 10 seeds and supply is limited.

Phil's Fantastic
Bill Minkey, who has grown thousand of varieties of heirloom tomatoes, calls "Phil" a favorite of his.  And Bill doesn't lie!  I have gotten many of the varieties of seed offered in this catalog from the enthusiastic and very hard working Bill over the years.  Substantial red beauties at 1 to 1 1/2 pounds are mostly globe shaped, but some tend to want to be hearts.  They have a great balance of sweetness and acidity, that which makes a tomato "Fantastic" !

Risentomate
Also known as the "pocketbook tomato"  This oddity is actually a literal bunch of small cherries fused together to make one lumpy and bumpy red tomato.  This variety possibly comes from the Indians of Central America who referred to it as the traveler tomato because it could be eaten by bits a time without getting rotten.  Very much fun to grow and will fascinate adults and children alike.

Super Choice
What a great name for a great tomato!  You will be happy you planted this variety when you go out to your summer garden and see these perfect red beefsteaks hanging from their tall sprawling vines. Slightly flattened, moderately fluted, crimson fruits have classic old time flavor, with a nice sweet finish to them.  Production is tops, too.  Heirloom comes from a Reverend Hobart Pearson of Berea Kentucky.  Make Super Choice your choice!

Strawberry Margarita
Great big beautiful crimson beefsteaks at 12 - 20 oz. will fill up your harvest basket quickly.  Some of the larger fruits will be boat shaped and have heavy fluting.  Production is very good.  Folks who have tasted it say it has "excellent flavor" and I agree.  Seed comes from Brian Sanders, Midwest City, Oklahoma who got them from Jesus Carpio of Durango, Mexico.

Adventure
Market grower's take note!  You'll have the "adventure" of selling some of the most perfect looking bright red tomatoes to your customers.  Smooth, crack and blemish free, with solid red all the way to the stem. No green or yellow shoulders.  For home gardeners, these will be a pleasure to serve to your family   Flavor is great.  The oblate fruits are sweet, mellow and weigh about 6-10 oz.  Plants are also long standing.

Aussie
From Australia, this is a very nice, big red beefsteak. Fruits will range from one to two pounds.  Some of the scarlet fruits are more ribbed than others, but this is one of those fabulous varieties that you say, "Oh Boy!", when you see the first one get ripe.

Dr. Wyche's Red
I was thrilled with this new find.  What a winner!  For those of you who never eat a summer salad without tomato, it's an excellent variety.  The 4-6 oz. round fruits are very sweet and have nice intense tomato flavor.  Because of it's size this is also a great variety for drying.  Production is heavy and non stop. This variety, like Dr. Wyche's Yellow, comes from the late Dr. Wyche, who was once the owner of Cole Brother's Circus.  He used to fertilize his gardens with elephant manure.

Pacara
Feeling adventurous?  You might like to try Pacara.  Your plants will be almost entirely covered with the weirdest looking rumpled, crumpled, fluted red fruits of medium size.  This is a great juice tomato and for those of you like myself, who think odd is beautiful in tomato land. You'll want to show off some fancy slices on your dinner plate or be creative and use them for an interesting edible centerpiece.

Cosmonaut Volkov
Many gardeners love the full bodied rich flavor of these smooth and crack free red tomatoes.  Ukrainian variety is named after cosmonaut Vladislav Volkov, who died while landing spaceship "Shyuz 11".  Plants are very productive and long lasting.  Bright red tomatoes vary in shape and size with most averaging from 4 - 9 ounces.  Another bonus is it's earliness, getting ripe here in about 70 days.

Sub-Arctic Plenty
World's earliest tomato!  The United States military developed this variety to supply tomatoes for troops stationed in Greenland.  Numerous fruits are smallish, about 3-5 ounces, are a deep scarlet all throughout, and really do have quite nice flavor for an early tomato.  There is a terrific bonus with Sub- Arctic - a lot of early varieties fade as the summer progresses, but I picked these until October here in Tennessee.

Super Sioux
Improved version of the fantastic Sioux.  A cross between All Red and Stokesdale.  This is an outstanding variety for the south, bred for long, hot, and dry summers.  Perfect red tomatoes are around 6 oz. and like Sioux, are more acid than sweet and have nice thick walls. Production is tops.

Shuntukski Velikan
An exceptional tomato from Russia. Velikan means giant in Russian.  Can grow from 1-3 lbs. with superb deep rich flavor. Shape can be irregular, but most are flat beefsteaks.  Supposed to be a high yielder, unfortunately my plants were in partial shade and my collection of seed suffered, therefore I can only offer 15-20 seeds per packet and my supply is limited.
