Marvel Striped

Williams Striped    NEW
Becoming a popular new bi-color variety. Can grow quite large with a slice almost covering up a plate.  Stripes start as a star on the blossom end and and radiate through the sweet flesh.   An heirloom from Glensdale, Kentucky.

Golden Cherokee
One of my top five of the 2009 tomatoes, I was really impressed with the flavor of these light lemon beefsteaks with a light pink blush .  They have an outstanding creamy texture and and fill your tastebuds with ample acid and sweetness.  Production here was very high, even with the intense rains we had here that year.  Seed comes from Reinhard Kraft, Neukirchen Germany and is a sport from a Cherokee Green plant.

Orange Green Zebra
Just like green zebra, only exteriors are amber with green stripes.  I like the flavor better than Green Zebra.  Very prolific.  Great for salads and salsas.

Piedmont Pear
Very Rare.  This is the only pear shaped bi-color I have ever seen!  These cute little gems are smallish, aound 2-4 oz. and are absolutely delicious.  They make quite a statement atop a bed of colorful fresh salad greens.

1884 Pink Heart
Rare. Randy Flemming who was a good friend of the late, sweet, Darrell Merrill, sent me the seeds for Pink Heart.  They are Darrell's growout of a yellow fruit with pink blushing that grew from the 1884 tomato.  They are delicate and crisp and very refreshing for a summer feast. I am always very proud to grow any variety that came from Darrell.  He was so hard working and helped save and preserve so many varieties of heirloom tomatoes and garlics.  We sure miss him.

Dawson's Russian Oxheart
A. K. A. Orange Russian 117. Cross of Georgia Streak and Russian 117 by Jeff Dawson. My number two favorite in summer of 2010, after Mrs. Benson.  Good friend Pat Kennedy, gardening guru, sent me the seeds for this variety and raved about it as though she had hit the mother lode.   Exaggerating she wasn't.  Dawson's is an absolutely beautiful , huge bi-color oxheart tomato.  They hang on the vines like brilliant gems dancing in the sunlight.  When you bring one in, slice into it and taste it, you realize you have found a gem!  This is the kind of tomato we all dream of during the longed for months of summer.  The solid yellow flesh with swirls of raspberry is aromatic, sweet and lucious.  The first fruits are very large, but become smaller throughout the season.  Long lasting plants will keep you happy

Big Zebra
Large fruits have red and green stripes!  Some striped varieties are a little short on flavor, but these are quite tasty.  Another great variety for kids to grow.

Copia
Copia is a cross between the great Marvel Striped and Green Zebra.  It is beautiful and the striping is very thin an almost looks like swirls of red and good paint.

Ananas Noire
Translates "Black Pineapple".  This variety is very exciting and winning the praises of heirloom enthusiasts!  It is a stable cross from a tomato patch in Belgium between a black variety and Pineapple, a bi-color.  It owns the strangest color combination I've seen to date, red- yellow-purple-gray-green, a real rainbow of color swirls.  However pretty it is, it's flavor stands tall also.  It is simply delicious!

Could you possible pass up a tomato with this name? I surely couldn't and have been growing this one for years. A very high producer of lovely light yellow 4-6 oz. globes, tinged with a pink blush that continues into the core. They are sweet, juicy, very mild, and to me, really do hint of citrus.
